Marc J. Francis is a renowned British director, producer, and documentary cinematographer whose films have garnered worldwide critical acclaim and have been disseminated across cinemas, television, and streaming platforms.
His most recent film, "Walk With Me," is a documentary about Zen Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hanh, featuring the narration of Benedict Cumberbatch, and was released theatrically globally.
Marc's early directorial work includes "Black Gold," a film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, winning widespread critical acclaim, and was subsequently released in over twenty countries worldwide. He followed this success with "When China Met Africa," a multi-broadcast project in collaboration with the BBC, Arte France, and the Sundance Institute.
Currently, Marc is working on a documentary featuring Elizabeth Gilbert, author of "Eat, Pray, Love," and her former Syrian-American partner Rayya Elias, who tragically passed away after being diagnosed with inoperable cancer.

Prior to his career in film, Marc attended the University of Leeds in the UK, where he studied Mandarin, and later resided in China during the country's economic boom in the mid-1990s.
