Manuel Rolison Aquino, professionally known as Ku Aquino, is a Filipino-American personality born to Don Antonio Urquico Aquino of Tarlac and Patricia Vaño Rolison of Cebu.
Ku's educational background is impressive, having studied at the Ateneo de Manila, where he graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1977. During his time at the university, he was an active member of various organizations, including the Dramatics Club, Boy Scouts, PMT Officers Corps, NCAA Sr. Track and Field, and NCAA Jr. and Sr. Champion Volleyball Teams. His achievements earned him a spot in the ADMU Spirts Hall of Fame in 2004.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Ku also completed the Managing the Arts Program at the Asian Institute of Management in 2007 and received a Certificate of Training and Completion for Studio Camera, Editing, and Directing from Access Sacramento in California in 1996.
Ku has had a successful career in theater, performing with renowned companies such as Tanghalang Pilipino, Repertory Philippines, Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA),Gantimpala Theater Foundation, and Dulaang UP from 1999 to the present.
His television appearances are notable, with credits in shows such as The Millionaire's Wife (GMA),Imortal, and Spirits (ABS-CBN).
Ku's filmography is extensive, with credits in movies like Birdshot, Ghost Bride, Across the Crescent Moon, Hope Rising, Flames Of Love, Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles, Amok, Bulong, Sukob, Melodrama Negra, and Mga Amino ng Kahapon.
