Manouk's acting career began in 1980 after graduating from the Theater school Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp, Belgium. She continued her training by attending Masterclasses in Amsterdam and New York, led by renowned instructors Warren Robertson, Jack Waltzer, Delia Salvia, and Candice Darra.
Between 1997 and 2001, Manouk studied at the Actor Centre in London, further honing her craft. In 2007, she attended the full-year acting training program at Trappan in Goteborg, Sweden.
Manouk's extensive career has taken her to various countries, including Holland, the UK, and Sweden, where she has played lead roles in over 50 films and TV series. Some of her notable roles include the BBC series 'A Touch of Frost' and 'Close Relations', as well as the film 'The Shadowman', alongside Tom Hulce and Jeroen Krabbe.
In addition to her screen work, Manouk has performed on stage, taking on roles such as Amanda in Jean Anouilh's 'Leocadia' and Celine in 'The Dragon Catcher' from 'Kingdom'. Her stage credits also include appearances in Chekov's 'The Three Sisters' and Strindberg's 'The Stronger' in Sweden.
Manouk has collaborated with various directors, including German director Kai Zastrow on the film 'The Lucky One Lost' in 2012 and again on stage in the Netherlands with the play 'Eindeloos' in 2013. She has also appeared in the Dutch Net5 series 'Fashion Planet' as Rebecca Johansson in 2014 and traveled to Japan to shoot the documentary 'In the Footsteps of Nichiren' in 2015.
In recent years, Manouk has taken on supporting roles in 'West of Liberty' and 'Kill Mode', which is set to be released in 2019.
