Manolo Travieso, a multifaceted individual with a rich cultural heritage, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he was heavily influenced by Mexican and Cuban traditions. This cultural melting pot played a significant role in shaping his artistic endeavors.
In 1990, Travieso relocated to Los Angeles, where he began to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. His big break came in 1998 when he was cast as Zorro in a National Ford Campaign, alongside the talented Catherine Zeta-Jones. The same year, he was chosen to host "The Billboard Music Awards" for Fox Latin American Channel, alongside the renowned comedian Chris Rock.
Travieso's impressive filmography includes notable roles in "Ladron Que Roba A Ladron", "What About Your Friends", and "Hunting Of Man". He also had the opportunity to work on the independent movie spoof "My Big Fat Independent Movie", where he played the role of Antonio Banderas in El Mariachi, alongside Paget Brewster and Pauly Shore.
In addition to his film work, Travieso has made guest appearances in numerous TV shows, including "Passions", "ER", "CSI Miami", "Los Beltran", "The Young and the Restless", "Angeles", "Ally McBeal", and various episodes of the daytime soap "General Hospital", where he played the role of Detective Torrance.
Travieso has also had a successful career in theater, taking on leading roles in professional productions such as "The Bird Cage", "Salon Mexico", "Strawberry and Chocolate", and "Death of a Salesman". He recently made his directorial debut with the play "Art", which was chosen to be performed at the International Theater Festival of Los Angeles (FITLA).
