Mandy Bruno Bogue is a multifaceted East Coast-based artist, boasting a diverse portfolio as an actress, director, private coach, and theatre educator. Her journey in the arts began at the tender age of six, when she was enrolled in a local community theater class to overcome her shyness. This initial experience led to her being cast as the lead in a children's Christmas production, marking the start of her lifelong passion for the performing arts.
By the age of 15, Mandy had already established a professional career in the arts, performing with regional theater companies and films. Her breakthrough role came when she was cast on the soap opera Guiding Light during her senior year of college, earning her an Emmy Nomination for her outstanding work. She also received an Edgemar Film Festival Award Nomination for her performance in the film Perhaps Tomorrow.
Mandy's extensive filmography includes notable credits such as Friends and Romans, Price for Freedom, Rock Story, and Jokers Wild. She co-hosted the Hallmark Channel's The Better Show and co-starred on the CBS television series Blue Bloods. Additionally, she made a notable appearance as a character in Grand Theft Auto V and contributed to Sesame Street's ESL programming.
In the theatrical world, Mandy has starred on Broadway as Eponine in Les Misérables and as an understudy for Louise in Gypsy. Off-Broadway credits include Frankenstein and This Side of Paradise, featuring her on the original cast recording. She has also toured nationally as Maria in The Sound of Music and worked with numerous professional regional theater companies across the country.
Favorite roles include her portrayal of Belle in Beauty and the Beast for the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera Company and Marion in The Music Man at The Maltz Jupiter Theater in Florida, earning her a coveted Carbonell Nomination. As a writer and producer, Mandy has created three independent films, including Rock Story, which won Best Writing at the Northeast Film Festival. She has also co-written the music for this film.
Mandy has worked as a voice-over artist for TV and radio commercials. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to mentoring the next generation of young actors, with over 20 years of experience directing and teaching children and adults in the arts. She has directed and produced more than 40 productions, serving as Artistic Director of The Foundry Theater Company and Artistic Director and Producer of The Backyard Playhouse.
Mandy has also worked as an Associate Artistic Director, teacher, director, and curriculum writer for The Creative and Performing Arts Academy of NEPA and The Ritz Theater. She has taught, curriculum written, and directed at Valley View High School and Swift Elementary, as well as co-directed The Young People's Theater Project. As a private coach, Mandy continues to guide children and adults of all ages for their theater, film, and college auditions, and has served as a guest teacher for some of New York's top casting agents in their TV/Film seminars.
