Maddalena, a talented and accomplished actress, initially gained recognition in her native Italy through her work in stage, television, and film productions. Her breakout performance as the devoted and resilient mother of renowned athlete and prisoner of war Louis Zamperini has received widespread acclaim worldwide. As a teenager, Maddalena had the opportunity to study with the esteemed Susan Strasberg in Rome, and soon landed her first role alongside Rupert Everett in Michele Soavi's Cemetery Man (1994),also known as Cemetery Man.
Maddalena then embarked on a national tour, taking on the title role in "The Diary of Anne Frank." Her passion for acting and directing led her to pursue further education, earning a Master's Degree in acting and directing from Teatro Emilia Romagna. She continued to hone her craft in Rome and Milan, solidifying her position as a respected and accomplished actress.
In addition to her acting career, Maddalena went on to found "Racconti di Scena," a successful theater and event production company in Brescia, for which she received the prestigious award for best director in Compagnie Bresciane al Teatro Santa Chiara. Maddalena is also the creator and artistic director of Shakespeare in Citta', an international festival inaugurated in 2008, which has become a significant cultural event.
In 2012, Maddalena received an invitation from Academy Award-winning actor Martin Landau to become one of the few foreign finalists at the renowned Actors Studio in Los Angeles, where she continues to train and refine her craft. Born in Savona, Maddalena was raised on her grandparents' vineyard in Tuscany and currently resides in Los Angeles.
