Known affectionately as "Little Miss Dynamite" due to her exuberant personality, Perrie dazzled audiences with her cabaret act, performing in esteemed clubs across Britain, France, Germany, South Africa, and the United States throughout the 1960s.

Her illustrious career spanned a wide range of performances, including regular support acts for the Beatles in 1964, sharing the bill with emerging stars like Sacha Distel and the Rolling Stones. Perrie's impressive repertoire also included eight sold-out performances at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall.

On television, Perrie made memorable appearances on various variety programs, including ITV's "Stars and Garters." Her talent and charisma also earned her roles on popular shows, such as ITV's "Queenie's Castle" (1970-1972),starring the legendary Diana Dors.

Perrie's most notable achievement was her critically acclaimed debut acting role as a neglectful mother in Ken Loach's award-winning film "Kes" in 1970. This milestone performance led to a string of television roles, solidifying her status as a talented and versatile actress.

However, it is her iconic portrayal of Ivy Tilsley (later Brennan) in the UK's flagship soap opera "Coronation Street" from 1971 to 1994 that Perrie is most fondly remembered for.

Following her departure from the "Street," Perrie returned to the stage with a new cabaret act and penned her best-selling autobiography, "Secrets Of The Street." She appeared on numerous popular television chat shows to promote her book, cementing her status as a beloved and accomplished entertainer.
