Lynn Stalmaster, the renowned casting director, was born in Nebraska to Judge Irvin Stalmaster and Estelle Lapidus. His family relocated to Los Angeles in 1938, where he attended Beverly Hills High School and developed an interest in acting through radio performances. After serving in the military, Stalmaster pursued a master's degree in theatre arts at UCLA, graduating in 1952.
