Biography

Luis Alberni, a renowned Spanish character actor, was born on October 4, 1886, in Cataluna, Barcelona, Spain, to Judge John Alberni and a mother with the maiden name Malo. His early life took an unexpected turn when he attended the University of Madrid, majoring in Law, but soon grew bored with the prospect of lengthy trials and left home to join a traveling circus in southern France as a clown. This marked the beginning of his journey in the world of acting, and he discovered his passion for the craft while performing in a Shakespearean play, specifically Hamlet.
