Biography

Lucinda Rogers is a talented actress based in New York City, with a diverse range of film and theater credits to her name. Her early start in the industry began with her debut in the 2016 IFC/Showtime film "Chuck", opposite Liev Schreiber and directed by Philippe Falardeau.

Rogers' standout performance as a young woman struggling with rapidly losing her eyesight in Laura Point, premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, earned her recognition as the #3 actress to watch by the Actress and Life Obsession Blog.

Her notable film work includes David Raymond's "Nomis" alongside Burn Gorman, and Warner Brothers' "Do Not Disturb". In addition to her film work, Rogers has also made a name for herself in the theater world, with recent performances in Everything's Whispered at the Lynn Redgrave Theater in NYC.

Born in South Carolina, Rogers' roots run deep in the state's rich history. Her father, a state legislator and former Democratic Majority Leader, played a significant role in shaping her early life. Watching her father fight for human rights and education inspired Rogers to find her own way to make a difference through the performing arts.

Rogers began acting at a young age, performing in classical theater with the South Carolina Shakespeare Company, taking on roles such as Richard III, King John, and Macbeth. She also played Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird and Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. At the age of 15, Rogers left home to pursue a full-time acting education at the prestigious South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.

She continued her training at Southern Methodist University, earning a B.F.A. in Acting. Rogers' early career was marked by her work in regional theater, performing with Shakespeare Dallas, Kitchen Dog Theater, and as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Great River Shakespeare Festival in Minnesota.

Beyond her work in the entertainment industry, Rogers is also dedicated to giving back to her community. She is actively involved with the Lighthouse Guild and Learning Ally in NYC, where she uses her talents to aid the visually impaired by tutoring students and recording books on tape.
