Louise Latham was an American actress born in 1922 in Hamilton, Texas. She began her acting career in the 1950s, initially performing on stage and in various television series. Her breakthrough role came in 1964 when she played the mother of Tippi Hedren's character in Alfred Hitchcock's film "Marnie". She went on to appear in numerous films and television shows throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including "Perry Mason", "Family Affair", "Firecreek", "Hail, Hero!", and "The Sugarland Express". In the 1980s, she continued to work in film and television, appearing in projects such as "The Philadelphia Experiment", "Mass Appeal", and "Fresno". She also had recurring roles in several television series, including "Eight Is Enough" and "Hothouse". Latham's last film appearance was in 1992's "Love Field", and she retired from acting in the late 1990s. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 95. Throughout her career, Latham was known for her versatility and ability to portray characters from diverse backgrounds and with distinct personalities.
