Liu ShiShi, also known as Cecilia Liu, embarked on a remarkable journey by graduating from the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy, where she majored in Ballet. During her academic tenure, she seized a unique opportunity to make her acting debut in a television series, which inadvertently opened the doors to a new and exciting path for this talented ballerina.

The immense success of this television series and her outstanding performance both during and after its conclusion earned her the esteemed title of one of the "Chinese Four Promising Young Female Actresses" as recognized by the prominent Chinese paper-media, Nan Du Entertainment Weekly, in 2013.
In her personal life, Liu ShiShi tied the knot with Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu on January 20th, 2015, after meeting him on the set of Scarlet Heart in 2011.
