Leopold von Sacher-Masoch

Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, a renowned literary figure, entered this world on January 27, 1836, in the bustling city of Lemberg, situated within the vast expanse of the Austrian Empire, which has since been rechristened as the vibrant metropolis of Lviv, Ukraine. As a prolific writer, he left an indelible mark on the literary world with his iconic works, including the 2013 production of "Venus in Fur", the 2012 rendition of "Venus in Furs", and the 1994 adaptation of the same title. Throughout his life, he was blessed with the companionship of his loving wife, Wanda Aurora von Rümelin. Unfortunately, his mortal coil was laid to rest on March 9, 1895, in the quaint town of Lindheim, nestled within the picturesque landscape of Hesse, Germany.
