Leonard Sues, a multifaceted artist, embarked on his illustrious career as a conductor at the tender age of five. By the time he was six and a half, he had already begun touring various vaudeville venues as a conductor and trumpeter, showcasing his exceptional talent to audiences across the country.
As his career progressed, Sues expanded his repertoire to include acting in Broadway plays and films. He also had the opportunity to conduct radio programs for several notable figures, including Eddie Cantor, Ole Olsen, Chic Johnson, Milton Berle, and Mickey Rooney. In fact, Sues worked closely with Mickey Rooney for an impressive twenty years, serving as his musical director and performer.
In 1963, Sues joined the esteemed organization, ASCAP, and went on to compose the Broadway stage score for the iconic production, "Brooklyn Bridge". His long-standing partnership with Mickey Rooney proved to be a fruitful collaboration, resulting in a plethora of popular song compositions, including the catchy tunes "Curiosity Killed the Cat" and "Boip! Boip!".
