In the movie, Jimmy Connors and his girlfriend aim to participate in Paul Whiteman's high school bands contest, but they lack the funds to get there. Fate intervenes as they meet Whiteman, who is impressed by their band's talent and lends them the money. However, their plans take a drastic turn when one of their friends falls gravely ill and requires an emergency plane ride to the hospital, forcing them to use Whiteman's loan for a noble but unexpected purpose.
