Lee Dannacher, a renowned figure in the animation industry, is most notably recognized for her work on the iconic series Thundercats (1985),Silverhawks (1986),and The Ivory Ape (1980).

Born in 1950, Lee grew up in the mid-western town of Wabash, Indiana, where she completed her high school education. Her academic pursuits led her to earn a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oklahoma, after which she relocated to New York City.

In New York, Lee had the opportunity to work on various Rankin and Bass productions, laying the foundation for her future success. Her most notable achievement is undoubtedly her role as Co-Creator of Thundercats (1985),a series that has become a beloved classic. Moreover, Lee's passion for empowering young girls led her to create the character Cheetara, a strong and dynamic female presence in the show.

After dedicating over 25 years to the animation industry, Lee retired and returned to her hometown of Wabash, Indiana. However, her commitment to improving the lives of children remained unwavering. She joined the Miami County Department of Children Services, where she worked for an impressive 10 years until her passing in 2018.
