Kurt Yue's early life was marked by a series of significant geographical relocations, commencing with his birth in Beijing, China, and continuing with his family's relocation to the United States when he was just four years old. Subsequent moves to Iowa, Arizona, and Ohio, respectively, would shape his formative years and lay the foundation for the multifaceted individual he would eventually become.
Despite the fact that many actors have a lifelong passion for the craft, Kurt's journey into the world of acting was unexpectedly circuitous. Unlike his peers, he never harbored a desire to act, nor did he participate in high school drama club or take theater classes in college. In fact, his only foray into acting prior to the age of 27 was a fourth-grade play, in which he memorably portrayed a horse.
After graduating college with a degree in computer science and engineering, Kurt embarked on a conventional career path, working as a software developer and business consultant in Cleveland, Ohio. His daily routine consisted of a 9-to-5 workday, followed by evenings spent socializing with friends at bars and other establishments. However, one fateful Saturday night, a chance encounter with an intriguing storefront would alter the course of his life forever.
As Kurt and his friends were making their way back to their vehicles after a celebratory night out, he caught sight of the Houde School of Acting, a renowned institution in Cleveland. Since he was seeking a new activity to fill his free time, Kurt was drawn to the idea of taking an acting class. Without hesitation, he jotted down the school's contact information, and the following week, he found himself enrolled in his very first acting class, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
