Born in Germany, Kristen Quintrall was raised in a military family, which instilled in her a sense of adventure and a willingness to take risks. This sense of adventure would later serve her well as she pursued a career in the competitive film industry.
Kristen's educational background is in film, specifically from Florida State University's esteemed film school. However, she was not content to specialize in just one area of filmmaking. Instead, she chose to focus on a wide range of skills, including acting, writing, editing, and directing. This diverse skill set would serve her well throughout her career, allowing her to take on a variety of roles and projects.
Upon graduating from film school, Kristen packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. Her first professional job was as the head of editorial for Channel Records, a division of Interscope, where she was responsible for creating music videos and web-based promotional content. This experience gave her a solid foundation in the technical aspects of filmmaking and allowed her to hone her skills as an editor.
In 2006, Kristen made the move to The Asylum, an independent film studio, where she edited six feature films and even stepped in front of the camera to star in several of their productions, including The Apocalypse, Transmorphers, and Universal Soldiers. Her work at The Asylum caught the attention of comic mastermind Jerry Zucker, who hired her as his personal editor. This opportunity allowed her to work on a wide range of projects, including web-based versions of films like The Grudge 2.
In early 2008, Kristen made the move to Lafayette, Louisiana, where she joined Sweet Post Productions as the chief editor. In this role, she oversees the editing of multiple films each year, working closely with directors and producers to bring their visions to life.
