Kohl Glass is a renowned Emmy award-winning writer and director, celebrated for his distinctive visual style and innovative creative approach. His impressive body of work includes the award-winning short film Der Ostwind, which was an official selection at the prestigious 2007 Sundance Film Festival. In 2012, Kohl made his feature film debut with Orc Wars, which was released directly to DVD and VOD in the US under the title Dragonfyre in 2014.
The same year, Kohl directed a short film for BYU Broadcasting, titled Eugenie, set in 1830s Paris. He also directed a TV pilot for IP Section in 2014. In 2015, Kohl helmed his second feature, a thriller for MarVista Entertainment, starring Tammin Sursok (Pretty Little Liars) titled The Stepsister.
Throughout his career, Kohl has written and directed a diverse range of projects, including commercials, PSAs, instructional videos, and television episodes. One notable example is his adaptation of the Grimm Brother's fairy tale The Fisherman and His Wife for a PBS affiliate television program.
Kohl has also penned several screenplays, including The Great Hellpike of Steelwell Pond, which was optioned by Greasy Entertainment in 2008. In 2012, The Generations Project episode "Natalie", which Kohl wrote, won an Emmy award. Today, Kohl resides in Salt Lake City, UT with his wife and young daughter.
