Kelly Richardson's educational background is marked by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Theater from the University of California, Berkeley, in addition to a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from New York University. Furthermore, she has received dance training at The Ailey School in New York City.
Prior to pursuing a career in the film industry, Kelly Richardson explored a diverse range of occupations, including ski and snowboard instructor, translator, foreign language teacher, circus performer, and Scuba Rescue Diver and Divemaster.
With the support of a Fulbright scholarship, Kelly Richardson directed the award-winning documentary film, WITHOUT A NET (2012),which was entirely shot in Portuguese in Rio de Janeiro and went on to screen at numerous film festivals worldwide.
As a multifaceted artist, Kelly Richardson is also a skilled actress and stunt performer, with a notable affinity for physical comedy.
