Kathleen Lawlor is a multifaceted individual with a wide range of artistic pursuits and accomplishments. With over 25 independent film credits to her name, she has demonstrated her versatility as an actress by taking on diverse roles in various genres.
One of her most recent performances was as Christine Cameron, a TV reporter investigating a missing teenager, in the thriller Prepper's Grove (2018). The film features an impressive cast, including Margaret O'Brien, Johnny Whitaker, and Tom Sizemore.
Kathleen has also appeared in the dramatic horror film The Defiled (2010),where she played Janice, a heroine fighting to save a newborn child and their mother from an apocalyptic virus that turns people into mindless cannibals. The film won the Fantasy Horror Award in Orvieto, Italy, and was selected for the Chicago International Film Festival and the Bram Stoker Film Festival in Whitby, England.
In addition to her film work, Kathleen has appeared in several television shows, including Easy Abby, where she played sexy Genevieve, the mother of the bride, in season one, episode 10. She has also had roles in FOX's The Mob Doctor and NBC's Chicago P.D.
As a stage performer, Kathleen has appeared at various Chicago venues, including Judy's Beat Lounge at The Second City, Stage 773, The Den Theatre, and the Chicago Cultural Center's Claudia Cassidy Theater.
Beyond her acting and performance work, Kathleen is also a writer, producer, singer, and visual artist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine Art from St. Ambrose University and is a mother of three and a grandmother of six.
