Biography

Katey Sagal is a highly talented and versatile actress and singer who has made a lasting impact in the entertainment industry. Born on January 19, 1954, in Los Angeles, California, to a family of directors and actors, she began performing at the age of five and went on to study voice and acting at the California Institute of the Arts.

After starting her career as a singing waitress and backing singer for various artists, including Gene Simmons and Bette Midler, Sagal landed her breakout role as Peg Bundy on the hit Fox series Married... with Children in 1987. Her performance earned her three Golden Globe and two American Comedy Award nominations.

However, Sagal was determined to showcase her range beyond her iconic role as Peg Bundy. She went on to star in a variety of projects, including the FX series Sons of Anarchy, for which she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in the Television Series - Drama in 2011.

In addition to her on-screen work, Sagal has also pursued her passion for singing and songwriting. She released her debut album "Well" in 1994 and her second album "Room" in 2004, which featured a mix of classic covers and original songs.

Throughout her career, Sagal has demonstrated her impressive range by taking on a wide variety of roles in film and television. She has appeared in popular sitcoms such as 8 Simple Rules and Futurama, as well as dramatic roles in films like The Good Mother and Dropping Out.

In recent years, Sagal has continued to work in television, with recurring roles on shows like Lost and The Bastard Executioner, as well as a regular role on the CBS sitcom Superior Donuts. She has also joined the cast of the ABC sitcom The Conners, playing a love interest to widower Dan Conner.

In her personal life, Sagal has been married four times and has four children. She currently resides in the Los Angeles area with her fourth husband, writer and producer Kurt Sutter.
