Katerina Winterova, a multifaceted Czech artist, was born on February 12th in Benesov, a charming town in the Czech Republic. Her early years were spent in Melnik, where she developed a strong foundation for her future artistic pursuits.
Katerina's formal education in the performing arts began in 1990 when she enrolled in the musical drama department at the prestigious Prague conservatory. During her studies, she honed her skills by performing on stage at the Under Palmovka Theatre.
As a talented young artist, Katerina's work was in high demand. From 1996 to 1998, she appeared as a guest at the Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové and the National Theatre, where she shone in productions such as "Romance for Bugle" and "Wandering". Her impressive performances caught the attention of the National Theatre, and since 1998, she has been a permanent member of the esteemed institution.
Katerina's dedication to her craft was recognized in 2002 when she received the prestigious Angel Award in the category of Singer of the Year.
In addition to her work in the National Theatre, Katerina is also the lead singer of the iconic band The Ecstasy of Saint Theresa.
