Karyn Lucy O'Bryan, a talented individual, was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas, where she developed a strong foundation for her future endeavors. Her early aspirations led her to pursue a career in politics, but fate had other plans. She made her Hollywood debut with an audition for Private Resort, starring alongside the renowned Johnny Depp. This marked the beginning of her acting journey, which would take her to notable roles on The A-Team, Family Ties, and Josie & the Pussycats.
As a dedicated mother, Karyn made the difficult decision to shift her focus to commercial acting, allowing her to balance her responsibilities and be more available to her children. She went on to secure over 50 national spots for prominent brands such as Coca Cola, Michelob, Nabisco, Black Angus, and Kelloggs, among others.
However, Karyn's true calling lay elsewhere. Her passion for photography and human rights issues eventually took center stage. In 1999, she found herself in the midst of the Kosovo War, capturing powerful images in the refugee camps. Since then, her photography has taken her to some of the world's most treacherous locations, including Haiti, Bosnia, Albania, and Cuba.
Today, Karyn dedicates her life to exposing human rights abuses, with a particular focus on modern-day slavery and human trafficking. She is the proud mother of three wonderful children and shares a love for exploring the world with them, often venturing off the beaten path.
