Jun Ichikawa's life took an unexpected turn at the tender age of seven, when her family made the bold decision to relocate from Japan to Rome, Italy. This pivotal move would ultimately shape her linguistic skills, as she would go on to become fluent in not one, but two languages - Japanese and Italian - with a hint of Rome's distinct accent subtly woven into her speech.
It was through a chance encounter that Ichikawa landed the lead role in the 2003 film "Singing Behind Screens". During the pre-production phase, she was chosen to try on the elaborate dresses for the character "The Widow Ching", and it was in this moment that her talent was first noticed and recognized, ultimately securing her the part.
