Julia Yorks was born in the charming town of New Hope, Pennsylvania, where her creative journey began at an early age. She started landing roles in various commercials, TV shows, and films, including appearances on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien," "Unbreakable," "Hack," and "The Happening." Alongside her acting career, Julia discovered her passion for writing at the tender age of nine, and her first literary endeavor was a guidebook to her hometown, titled "The Kids Guide to New Hope." This initial foray into writing was so successful that Julia later shared her experience of writing the book in an edition of the beloved "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series.
As Julia's educational pursuits took her to the prestigious Lawrenceville School and Northwestern University, she eventually graduated from the esteemed University of Southern California. It was during this time that she landed the role of "Chrissy Farrior" in Chris McQuarrie's critically acclaimed film "Jack Reacher."
In the realm of writing, Julia began her career as a script coordinator before being promoted to staff writer on DreamWorks/Netflix's animated series "The Adventures of Puss in Boots." Her impressive writing skills also led her to join the staff of "Trolls: The Beat Goes On," and she has written freelance episodes for Activision Blizzard's "Skylanders Academy." Moreover, Julia is currently working on a yet-to-be-announced series for Hasbro. Additionally, she is in development with Freeform on an original project, further solidifying her reputation as a talented and versatile writer.
