Born in Haughton, Louisiana, James Joshua Martin harboured a profound passion for the world of acting, and his aspirations soon began to take shape. He managed to garner a certain level of recognition for his portrayal of the iconic character, Barney the Dinosaur, in a select few episodes of the beloved children's television show, Barney and Friends, as well as the live tour, Barney's Big Surprise, which took place in 1997. In addition to his work on the purple dinosaur's adventures, Martin also honed his comedic skills by performing at various comedy clubs, where he showcased his impressive rendition of the Pillsbury Homeboy, a hilarious parody of the Pillsbury Doughboy that left audiences in stitches. Furthermore, his remarkable vocal talents caught the attention of Funimation, leading to his selection to voice the roles of Majin Buu, Kid Buu, and Evil Buu for the English dubs of the renowned Dragon Ball franchise. Moreover, he also lent his voice to the character of Commander Red in the same series, solidifying his status as a talented and versatile voice actor.
