Biography

Jonas Wolcher was born on April 15, 1973, at Östra Sjukhuset in Gothenburg, Sweden. He spent most of his childhood in Skåne before attending school.

Jonas began his career as a tourist guide but later transitioned into journalism. In 1996, he founded his first company, producing commercials. He moved back to his hometown and took on various roles, including salesman, sampler, telephone salesman, and merchandiser.

In 1997, Jonas enrolled at Gothenburg University to study Film Theory, but he left after less than a year, deciding to pursue a career in filmmaking rather than film criticism. He started his film career in 1999 with the Swedish version of Blair Witch Project, "Yvonne," but it failed due to the owner of the camera and editing software moving to the UK.

Jonas went on to create his first short film, "Deadly Milk," in 2002. He collaborated with his friend Jonas Lübeck and the film premiered at the Fantastic Film Festival in Lund under the title "Zombienoid."

In 2002, Jonas began working on his next project, "Mutant: The New Era," which involved nearly 100 people but was ultimately abandoned, leaving only three trailers.

Jonas then started working on "Zombienoid II," which later became "Die Zombiejäger." The film was completed in September 2005 and premiered at the Fantastic Film Festival in Lund.

In 2006, Jonas started working on "Dragonetti," which took nearly four years to complete. The film premiered in September 2010 at the Fantastic Film Festival in Lund under the title "Dragonetti: The Ruthless Contact Killer."

During the production of "Dragonetti," Jonas also worked as a DVD-author and editor for the production "Sektor 236."

In 2012, Jonas began writing a horror drama with cannibalism as the theme, collaborating with Brian Bell and Vargman Bjärsborn to create "Cannibal Fog." The film premiered at the Weekend of Horrors in Germany and Mórbido Mérida in Mexico in 2014.

Jonas has been involved in various projects, including "Sektor 236," "Barracuda," "WeekEND," "Root of Darkness," "Hermit," "Monster Killer," and "Coctail Apocalypse."

Jonas is known for his work in special effects, having worked on films, music videos, and lectures such as "Impressive Horror Makeup Easy and Effective."
