Jon George, a native East Texan, has always had a profound affinity for the Southwestern desert, which has led him to spend the past quarter century in Southern California and Nevada. Currently, he resides in La Quinta, the real desert, alongside his wife and two dogs. Jon's academic background is diverse, having earned his Bachelor's degree in Texas, his Master's on the East Coast, and completing his doctoral studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
Prior to embarking on a career in the entertainment industry, Jon taught literature at several universities for several years. However, he soon decided to turn his attention to creating his own stories, rather than merely analyzing others. This marked the beginning of his journey as a writer for film and television, an experience that has only intensified his appreciation for a well-crafted narrative.
Throughout his career, Jon has penned numerous screenplays, including HARLEQUIN, ESCAPE 2000, FINAL TERROR, ODDS & OTHERS, THE PERPETRATOR, and DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS. He has also worked on other projects, both produced and unproduced, and has had others sold but remain unreleased, a common occurrence in the industry.
In addition to his work as a screenwriter, Jon has taught screenwriting seminars and creative writing classes at local colleges and universities, taking pride in having assisted numerous private clients in launching their careers in the entertainment industry.
