Johnny Oliver Tabor, a multifaceted artist and writer, was born on April 5th in Lake Oswego, Oregon, USA. He spent a significant amount of his life exploring his creative passions, but it wasn't until 2010 that he made his debut in the film industry as a writer and director.
His inaugural project, initially titled Folklore but later renamed Eaters, was a script written and directed by Johnny, marking the beginning of a series of stories inspired by his childhood imagination. Eaters tells the harrowing tale of five friends who find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere New Mexico, only to be terrorized by a group of deviant killers.
Eaters was internationally released by Lionsgate in 2015, garnering attention for its unique and unsettling portrayal of the film's titular characters. In an interview with Dread Central, Ruthless Pictures' Writer, Director, and Producer, Jesse Baget, praised Johnny's work, stating, "When I first saw Eaters, I knew I was looking at the work of a truly original director. His baddies are like nothing I had seen in horror movies before. Original, yes, and disturbing as hell!"
In addition to Eaters, Johnny also wrote and directed his second film, Good Night, Sleep Tight, which is slated for international release in 2016.
