John C. Coffman is a Louisiana-based actor who has made a name for himself by bringing small roles to life in memorable a way.
Despite his late start in acting, John's journey began when a friend sent him a casting call for the film Olympus Has Fallen. The friend's email read, "They're describing you. You should apply!" After some convincing, John sent in his photos and resume, and the next week he found himself on the set in Shreveport, Louisiana for a week-long stint. Initially, John thought it would be a one-time experience, but the great crew and cast sparked his appetite for more.
Born in Jasper, Texas, John grew up as a "pipeline brat," moving around frequently with his family due to his father's work in the gas pipeline industry. This nomadic lifestyle allowed John to develop a talent for mimicking accents and speech patterns, as he was exposed to various regional dialects.
After serving in the Army for seven years, John worked in the same industry as his father for a couple of years before pursuing higher education. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from McNeese State University and his Juris Doctor in Civil Law from Loyola University in New Orleans. John has practiced law for over twenty years, working as both a defense and prosecuting attorney. He is now in semi-retired private practice in Lake Charles, Louisiana, allowing him to balance his acting career with his legal work.
John is married to the ever-patient Tina Mosca and has one son, John B. Coffman.
