Jitin Gulati, the eldest of three siblings, was born on April 8, 1980, in New Delhi, India. His father, a retired Indian Navy officer, and his mother, a retired teacher, instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and responsibility from a young age. Jitin has two younger sisters, both of whom have pursued careers in the financial sector, working with prominent foreign banks. Despite having a naval background, Jitin spent most of his childhood in Faridabad, where he attended the Apeejay School.
Throughout his school and college years, Jitin was an active participant in stage productions and extracurricular activities. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Hansraj College, Delhi University, which laid the foundation for his future career in the corporate world. Jitin's commerce background served him well, as he landed a job in Corporate Banking with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in New Delhi. He spent over eight years with the bank, during which time he began to nurture his passion for acting and dance.
Jitin's desire to become an actor led him to enroll in acting and dance training programs while still working at HSBC. He trained under the guidance of renowned professionals such as Mr. Barry John, Mr. Feizal Alkazi, and Ms. Amal Allana (National School of Drama) in New Delhi. Additionally, he honed his skills in Jazz dance at Ashley Lobo's Dance Institute 'Danceworx'.
Jitin's first portfolio was created by the acclaimed photographer Vishesh Verma, who referred him to several casting agencies. In 2009, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time model, leaving behind his successful banking career. Since then, he has appeared in over 100 advertising campaigns for prominent brands such as Raymond, Lifestyle, Smirnoff, L'Oréal Matrix, Anita Dongre (AND),and many others. Not one to abandon his roots in the financial sector, Jitin also started teaching Banking and Finance at a leading MBA institute in Mumbai, in addition to his modeling career.
Jitin's breakthrough in acting came when he was cast in Eros International and Anubhav Sinha's "Warning 3D," directed by Gurmmeet Singh and released in 2013. Since then, he has appeared in various projects, including Neeraj Pandey's "MS Dhoni - The Untold Story," "24 (India) Season 2," Amazon's India Original 'Inside Edge,' and others.
