Jim Bakkum

Jim Bakkum, born on August 10, 1987, has always been deeply passionate about music. He, his brother, and two neighborhood kids formed a band called 'The Kids', with his parents, who were also musically inclined, often performing together. At the tender age of 15, Jim auditioned for the popular talent show 'Idols' and remarkably finished as the runner-up, garnering thousands of fans and making it challenging for him to even walk down the street. His debut album was met with widespread acclaim, featuring several chart-topping hits, including a duet with the show's winner, Jamai. Jim's subsequent awards and accolades led to the release of his sophomore album, 'Ready', in 2003, which boasted two major hits and marked the beginning of his foray into acting. He made his television debut in the popular Dutch crime drama 'Baantjer', playing the role of Rick, and later appeared in the comedy 'Snowfever', contributing to the soundtrack. Additionally, Jim participated in the Dutch version of 'Dancing with the Stars', which he ultimately won, and in 2005, he released an album inspired by his experience on the show, titled 'Dance with Me'.
