Biography

Jeff Burrell, an American actor of note, hails from the esteemed borough of Staten Island, New York. Following his graduation from New York's High School Performing Arts, he went on to pursue higher education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Studies from the illustrious Oberlin College.

This academic achievement paved the way for Burrell to secure a Fulbright Scholarship, which enabled him to travel to East Berlin in 1990 and enroll at the prestigious Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch. His time at this esteemed institution culminated in the awarding of a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting in 1994.

From 1994 to 2000, Burrell was a valued member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater in Halle / Saale, where he had the opportunity to perform a wide range of roles, including the iconic Karl Moor in Friedrich Schiller's masterpiece, "The Robbers".

Since 2000, Burrell has been based in Berlin, where he has established himself as a freelance actor, enjoying a prolific career in both German and international films. In addition to his work on screen, he has also developed a successful career as a voice-over artist, lending his voice to numerous animated films and television series.

Burrell's impressive vocal talents have also been utilized in his work as a newsreader for Deutsche Welle TV, as well as in his collaborations with renowned orchestras, including Sir Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker.
