Born in Connecticut, Jean Dixon embarked on a remarkable theatre career, commencing with a prestigious Parisian stage appearance alongside the illustrious Sarah Bernhardt, during her university studies in France. Upon her return to the United States in 1921, Dixon made her Broadway debut, subsequently featuring in numerous stage productions, both on the Great White Way and across the country. As her career progressed, Hollywood beckoned in 1929, and Dixon frequently portrayed the streetwise, quick-witted confidant of the leading lady. Her most iconic role would likely be that of Molly in the timeless screwball comedy, My Man Godfrey, released in 1936.
