Born in the heart of West Virginia, Jay Plyburn's artistic inclinations and aspirations to thrive in the entertainment industry have been a defining aspect of his life since childhood. Raised on the stage, he enthusiastically participated in numerous musical theatre productions at church, school, and within the local community, nurturing his passion for the performing arts.
In pursuit of his dreams, Jay pursued a degree in Broadcast Journalism, which would enable him to work in front of the camera while honing his storytelling skills. Upon graduating from Marshall University in 2007, Jay embarked on a career in television news, rapidly rising through the ranks to assume the esteemed position of Morning News Anchor in Northwest Arkansas, a title he held for more than three years.
As his television news career flourished, Jay's creative drive eventually led him to shift his focus to filmmaking, where he continues to excel as both an actor and producer. Recently, he returned to his roots, resuming the role of Morning News Anchor for the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
When not busy with his professional endeavors, Jay indulges in his artistic side, finding solace in painting, writing poetry, and exploring new creative outlets.
