Jason Karman, a highly accomplished filmmaker, holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production and Creative Writing from the esteemed University of British Columbia.
His cinematic endeavors have garnered international recognition, with a primary focus on exploring the experiences of the Asian diaspora and the LGBT community.
One of his notable short films, "Lions in Waiting," was selected by Telefilm Canada's prestigious "Not Short on Talent" program, subsequently screening at the renowned Clermont-Ferrand festival in 2018.
Moreover, his short film was also showcased at BFI Flare 2018, further solidifying his reputation as a talented filmmaker.
Karman's debut feature, "Golden Delicious," has received support from Telefilm Canada's "Talent to Watch" program and was shot in March 2021 amidst the height of the pandemic.
Currently, he is working on new feature projects in collaboration with esteemed writers Norman Y. Li and Joëlle Anthony.
