Janicke's journey began in Norway, where she initially resided before relocating to Paris after completing her high school education. This significant move marked the starting point of her artistic development, as she went on to attend the esteemed Atelier Theatral de Création theatre school in Paris. As she continued her education, Janicke was exposed to a wide range of creative disciplines, including creative writing, directing, and acting. This multifaceted approach allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the art form, laying the foundation for her future success as a director.
Upon completing her studies, Janicke directed several theatre plays in Paris, showcasing her skills and versatility. Her repertoire includes notable productions such as Ein Sommars Dag by Jon Fosse, L'Amant by Marguerite Duras, Quartett by Heiner Müller, and the musical Deux Amoureux À Paris, which premiered at the prestigious Festival d'Avignon.
Janicke's transition to the world of film was marked by the success of her short film Le Contrat, which was selected for various prominent film festivals, including Mecal Pro 2020, the 22nd Barcelona International Short Film Festival, Kortfilmfestivalen (Oslo) 2020, and The International Film Festival in Vébron, France (2020).
Her feature film debut, Sammen Alene, was released in cinemas in 2021, solidifying Janicke's status as a talented and innovative filmmaker.
