Her parents' diverse heritage is a testament to her mixed ancestry, with her father being of Polish Jewish descent and her mother being of Dutch descent. To make her career in show business more manageable, she adopted the stage name "Jane Seymour," which was also the name of one of King Henry VIII's wives.
