Jamie Feldman is the managing partner of a prominent firm, having joined the organization in 1999 and being promoted to partner in 2001. As a seasoned entertainment lawyer, he represents a diverse range of clients, including actors, directors, writers, and producers, across the film, television, and digital industries. Additionally, he serves as a sales agent for select independent films. His impressive client roster boasts numerous Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Emmy winners, solidifying his reputation as a top-tier lawyer in the industry.
Jamie's accomplishments have not gone unnoticed, as he has been included on The Hollywood Reporter's prestigious "Power Lawyers" list since 2014. Furthermore, he has consistently been recognized by Variety's "Dealmakers Impact" and "Legal Impact" reports, and was recently honored by Best Lawyers in America as the "Lawyer of the Year" (2020-2021) for Entertainment Law – Motion Pictures and Television.
Born and raised in Montreal, Jamie's academic background is impressive, having graduated from Yale College, where he was an active member of the Whiffenpoofs. He went on to earn his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he distinguished himself as an editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal and also showcased his creative skills by writing and directing the annual spring musical.
Prior to entering the entertainment industry, Jamie gained valuable experience by clerking for Judge Sidney Stein at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and for Justice John Major at the Supreme Court of Canada.
As an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at Southwestern Law School, Jamie shares his expertise by teaching a course in motion picture law. He is also committed to giving back to his community, serving on the board of the Friends of Hollywood Central Park, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a 38-acre public park over the top of the 101 freeway. Jamie resides in Windsor Square with his wife, Laura Putney, and their three children.
