Jacob Brown was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1999, and from a very young age, he had always had the desire to act. At the tender age of 10, he seized the opportunity to pursue acting classes, and his passion for the craft has only grown stronger with time.
With an engaging, bright, enthusiastic, and well-rounded personality, Jacob brings a unique style of humour and an infectious energy to every aspect of his life. His dedication, focus, confidence, honesty, maturity beyond his years, and determined spirit have served him well in his pursuit of a career in the entertainment industry.
Jacob's drive and talent have enabled him to successfully land roles in a variety of projects, including short and feature films. Some of his notable credits include the short film Strange Clouds (2013),the award-winning documentary Yagan (2013),the feature film Paper Planes (2014),and the screen adaptation of the number one bestselling book The Pineville Heist (2016),which was filmed in Ontario, Canada. More recently, he has appeared in The Decadent and Depraved (2018).
His screen performance has been praised by directors he has worked with, who have described him as "intense, vulnerable, and honest", with a "strong ability to express the inner state of his character onscreen" and an "engaging screen presence". This is a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft.
As a younger actor, Jacob was an enthusiastic acting student at The Actors Workshop and Filmbites Screen Academy (2011-2018),where he honed his skills and gained valuable experience. He completed all levels from beginner to the final intensive level and has an ongoing desire to pursue writing and be involved in the creative process of film.
Jacob believes in the importance of lifelong professional and personal development. He graduated from John Curtin College of the Arts in 2017, where he was granted a position in the Gifted and Talented Drama Program. He has been fortunate to attend regular courses and be coached by industry professionals in Perth, Sydney, and Los Angeles.
Throughout his journey, Jacob has demonstrated a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for his craft. He is an exceptional young actor with a bright future ahead of him.
