Jack Hunter's life journey began near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he spent his formative years before serving his country in the United States Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge, Jack utilized the G.I. Bill to pursue his passion for theatre and acting at Penn State University. Following his undergraduate studies, he relocated to Buffalo, New York, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in theatre direction from the University of Buffalo.
During his time in Buffalo, Jack's career flourished as he juggled various roles, including Off and Off-Off Broadway productions, television appearances on the soap opera Ryan's Hope in 1975, and national commercials. As he balanced his professional life with his personal life, Jack settled in Buffalo to raise a family. Over the course of 25 years, he wore many hats, including theatre instructor, bartender, music producer, cab driver, and award-winning actor.
However, Jack's life took a dramatic turn when his youngest daughter, shortly after her 18th birthday, unexpectedly told him, "You don't have to stay in Buffalo for me. I'm grown up now, I don't need you around. So if you want to go to California, it's OK." This newfound freedom sparked a sense of adventure within Jack, and he decided to embark on a life-changing journey.
In 2007, Jack starred in the short film Songbird, which premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival and went on to screen numerous times on the Sundance Channel. His breakthrough role as Roger Horton, the spokesman for Cracked's Honest Ads series, has garnered over 25 million views.
