Ivelin Giro, a multifaceted individual, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Havana, Cuba, where she initially developed her passion for theater and folk dance.
As a child, she taught dance to younger kids, nurturing her creative side.
Later, she won two prestigious Emmys as an executive producer for her work on the documentary Mambochella.
Ivelin studied acting under the guidance of renowned teacher Alejandro Lugo, starring in the Cuban film La Novia para David and hosting the morning show Revista de la Mañana Cubana.
She subsequently signed an exclusive contract with RAI, the national public broadcasting company of Italy, and with Fashion, a Milan-based agency, allowing her to work with esteemed brands like Givenchy and L'Oreal, and gracing the covers of top fashion magazines including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Maxim, and others.
Notably, Giro became Cuba's first Top Model.
In Miami, Ivelin further honed her acting skills by studying at the New York Film Academy and appearing in plays such as Baño de Damas and I Take Your Hand in Mine.
She co-founded an experimental theater company, Obstáculo, and landed roles in several Telemundo series, including Decisiones and El Zorro, La Espada y la Rosa.
Her film credits include Bad Boys II, Hey DJ, Category 4, and Tumbe.
Ivelin temporarily put her acting career on hold to focus on raising her children.
During this time, she continued to express her creative talents by producing the music album I Love Mambo.
Now that her children have grown up, Giro has relocated to LA, ready to revive her acting career.
As a multilingual individual, Ivelin is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian, and French, and can also imitate various regional accents, including Mexican and Cuban.
