Chiu Yen Irina Tan, a multifaceted individual with a rich cultural background, was born in Cologne, Germany. Her formative years were spent in Bonn, Germany, before she embarked on a journey that would take her to various parts of the world, including the USA, Singapore, Indonesia, and currently Canada.
Throughout her life, Chiu Yen has been blessed with the ability to converse fluently in multiple languages, including English, German, and Indonesian. Her academic credentials are impressive, having earned a Master's Degree in Business Management from the esteemed University of Mannheim, Germany. She went on to build a successful career in the corporate financial world in Singapore, where she honed her skills and gained valuable experience.
However, Chiu Yen's passion for the performing arts soon took center stage, and she pursued acting training at the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia, Singapore. Under the guidance of renowned instructor John Wills Martin, she continued her education and began to explore her creative side.
As an actor, Chiu Yen has been involved in numerous short films and feature films, including 'Love and Faith' (2015),directed by Benny Setiawan, as well as 'Pai Kau' (2018),also known as 'Game of Nine', and 'This Is Not a Love Story' (2019),directed by Sidi Saleh, in which she also served as a producer. Prior to her acting career, Chiu Yen was credited as Irina Chiu.
Currently, Chiu Yen is pursuing a post-graduate degree in Film & Television Business in Toronto, Canada, further solidifying her credentials in the entertainment industry.
