Indraneil Sengupta is a renowned Indian model and film and television actor who made the bold decision to move to Mumbai to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
He began his modelling career in the 1990s and was a finalist in the prestigious Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 1999. He went on to appear in numerous brand advertisements, including those for VIP Frenchie, Tata Indigo Marina car, and Aquafina. He also showcased his ramp walking skills for renowned designers like Rohit Bal and worked with choreographers like Achla Sachdev and Marc Robinson.
Sengupta's foray into music videos began with Pal Pal Tere Yaad Sataye (2000) by Falguni Pathak, Chamak Cham Cham by Yesudas, and Koi Diya Jale Kahin (Rum Pum Bum) by Asha Bhosle.
In 2004, he made his debut in the Hindi film industry with Shukriya: Till Death Do Us Apart (2004),alongside Shriya Saran, Aftab Shivdasani, and Anupam Kher.
The year 2006 saw him cast in the TV show Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Radha, Ek Shyaam (2006),where he met his future wife Barkha Bisht. In 2007, they appeared as contestants on the dance show Nach Baliye 3 (2007). They tied the knot in 2008.
Sengupta's horror film debut came in 2008 with 1920 (2008),where he played the antagonist Mohan Kanta. He also appeared in TV serials like Maayka: Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka (2007).
In 2009, he starred in the popular Bengali film Angshumaner Chhobi (2009),playing the lead role of Angshuman opposite Indrani Haldar. He won the Anandalok Fresh Face of the Year (male) award in 2009 for this movie.

Throughout his career, Sengupta has won several awards, including the ITA Award for Idea Glamour Face of the Year Male in 2008 and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor (Bengali) for Mishawr Rawhoshyo (2013) in 2014.
