Director, actor, and musician, he is a multi-talented individual who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. He began his journey by studying Cinema and Television at Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey.
After completing his studies, he went on to conduct cultural and music organizations in various parts of Turkey. In 2006, he made the bold decision to move to Texas, USA, where he spent part of his life and gained valuable experience.
Upon his return to the United States, he decided to continue his film career, which led him to shoot various commercials and act in theater and film productions. His passion for storytelling and creativity only grew stronger over time.
In 2012, he participated in the Sulukule Gönüllüleri Dernegi / Sulukule Volunteers Association project, which allowed him to showcase his documentary-making skills. He shot a documentary called "Sahnede Isyan" for the Sulukule Hop-Hop Tiyatrosu / Sulukule Hip-Hop Theatre and also took part in the Istanbul Biennial.
In 2015, he completed his first feature-length documentary, "Surgun Türküleri - Yilmaz Güney" - "Ballad of Exiles - Yilmaz Güney". The documentary premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival and went on to screen in countries such as Istanbul, Madrid, Slovenia, England, and Germany.
He continued to push boundaries with his work, and in 2017, he released "Damat Kogusu" / "Grooms Block", a film that explored the prison issue. His dedication to his craft earned him numerous international awards and recognition.
As of now, he is preparing to shoot a fictional film that will be the continuation of his documentary. His passion for storytelling and filmmaking is evident in his work, and he continues to make a significant impact in the entertainment industry.
In October 2020, he directed "Reflection - Akis", his second feature film, which premiered at the New York Harlem International Film Festival and won the award for Best Foreign Film.
