Honey Bane's music career began in 1978 when she formed the Punk band 'The Fatal Microbes'. The band's first single, 'Violence Grows', was a huge hit, propelling Honey's music career forward. The Fatal Microbes eventually disbanded, and Honey spent some time in a youth detention facility, which received widespread media coverage in the UK.
Upon her release, Honey began working with the band 'Crass' and featured on their 1980 EP 'You Can Be You'. That same year, she made a guest appearance on stage with Killing Joke, providing vocals on the song 'What's The Matter', which was later captured on the album 'Live At The Venue'.
In 1980, Honey signed a 5-year contract with EMI and released several hit singles. In 1983, she made her film debut in the gritty UK movie 'Scrubbers', alongside Kathy Burke and Robbie Coltrane.
As the 1990s began, Honey fronted the band 'Dogs Tooth Violet', with fans having to wait for more solo material. In 2006, she released a two-track 7" single, "Down Thing" / "Got Me All Wrong". In 2008, Honey appeared in the short film 'What Shall We Do With The Drunken Sailor', based on the life of artist/model Nina Hamnett, alongside Siobhan Fahey, Clive Arrindel, and Donny Tourette.
Honey's new album, 'Acceptance Of Existence', is set to be released in 2014 on Eromeda Records, while Walton Music will release a best-of album. She has also been busy making indie movies and has appeared in and contributed music to 'Sex, Lies & Depravity 3'. Additionally, she will appear in the movies 'Last Chance At Paradise' and 'Home Grown Carnage', both set for release in early 2014.
As part of her ongoing projects, Honey will also be appearing in the UK/US movie 'A New York Story', alongside David Yow, the former frontman of 80s noise rock band 'Scratch Acid' and later on 'The Jesus Lizard'.
