Following the completion of his school-leaving examination, Hans embarked on a multifaceted career in the performing arts, gracing various stages across Germany and beyond. His early endeavors took him to the Giessen Stadttheater in 1931, followed by stints in Heidelberg, Theater der Stadt Luebeck, Buehnen der Hansestadt Saarbruecken, and the Saarlaendisches Staatstheater, where he remained until 1939.
In 1939, Hans's artistic journey took him to Prague, where he became a member of the renowned Deutsches Theater. He would remain there until 1945, before moving on to Brunswick and subsequently the Staatstheater Stuttgart and Wuerttembergisches Staatstheater, where he worked from 1946 to 1947.
Notably, Hans spent a significant portion of his career in Hamburg, serving as an actor and director at the esteemed Thalia-Theater from 1947 to 1974. Additionally, he is widely recognized in Germany for his numerous appearances in radio plays, showcasing his versatility and range as a performer.
