Person Biography:
Hannaj Bang Bendz is a renowned actress, celebrated for her lead roles in the Action Revenge film "I Am Rage" (Clear Focus Movies, 2023),and the films "Wrath of Dracula" and "Ship Of the Damned" (Creativ Studios, 2023).
Born in London, England, Hannaj is the daughter of an English mother (Michelle) and a Danish father (Henrik).
Hannaj's academic background includes studying "Scriptwriting for Film and Television" at Bournemouth University in 2008, and graduating with a BA (Hons) in Animation Film Production from The Arts University at Bournemouth (AUB) in 2012.
Her professional career began with her first Professional Theatre Production, "Dorian Gray" at The Lighthouse Theatre in Poole, in 2013. She was subsequently cast in the Docudrama "Black Ops: Operation Firemagic", which aired on both American Netflix and the History Channel.
In 2017, Hannaj's performance as Julia in "The Man Up The Stairs" earned her several Best Actress awards across various festivals, including the LA Film Festival.
In 2018, the short film "A Still Sunrise" premiered at Cannes Film Festival, and she featured as the lead role of Keeley Jones in the popular small series "Seaside Town" (Amazon Prime, 2018),as well as "Glamour" (Amazon Prime, 2020).
Her recent releases include the dark comedy feature "3 Pints and a Rabbi", playing opposite Amanda Abbington and Michael Maloney, and the Biblical Vampire short "God's Whisper", both released in 2021.
Hannaj has also written and produced fan-film "Salvaje", and dark psychological feature "Jax".
In her personal life, Hannaj is passionate about Mixed Martial Arts, and is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, having won the Blue Belt Open Weight division at the Masters European Championship (2023). She has also trained in Taekwondo, Kung Fu, and Bo-Staff, as well as live fire-arms.
