Grace Annabelle Blackman was born on December 7th, 1992, in Sidcup, Kent. From an early age, she attended Helen O'Grady Drama Academy and Nicky Bate School of Dance, where she honed her skills in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. As she grew older, she began to develop a profound talent for drawing and painting, and seriously considered a career as an artist. It would be four years before she returned to performance studies, and six years before she acted in a public production again.
In November 2010, Blackman joined the esteemed Bob Hope Theatre Actors Company, and a year later, she became a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Her academic pursuits led her to Loughborough University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama. During her time at the university, she was an active member of the LSU Shakespeare and Stage Societies.
Throughout her studies, Blackman continued to work in the industry, appearing at the Bob Hope Theatre, Bromley Little Theatre, and various independent film production companies. In 2013, she joined the festival company at the National Student Drama Festival, and made her Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut in Jim Cartwright's, Road. Three years later, she pursued a Master's in Acting at Arts Educational London, and in 2017, she became a member of the National Youth Film Academy.
